It's not secret that we love a pointy face shnoz.
This is Whippet Snippet.
We’re always influenced by the world around us, and if you’ve met us you’ll know it was only a matter of time before we made a whippet animation. After all, people kept asking.

Whippet Snippet began, like many ideas do, over coffee in the studio. We were chatting about what we wanted to create next and as a rumble of whippet feet practically shook the house the answer was obvious; whippets. Imagine miniature whippets tearing around our desks causing chaos? That was it, we had to make it happen.

We cut together a mountain of reference footage (trust us, there was a lot), all to capture that unique combination of elegance, energy and sudden explosive zoomies that makes whippets so entertaining to watch... and great to animate.

Inspired by comic books and Into the Spider-Verse, we explored how to bring extra energy to our whippet world.

Using speed lines, motion blur and on-screen text, we leaned into a stylised, frame-breaking look.

We pushed it further with MoGraph, adding trails, type and motion bursts to give this short extra chaos and character.

We textured the whippet models in Substance Painter, collaging snippets of vintage Welsh newspapers to build their base skin. The distinctive brindle markings were then hand-painted on top.
